Baby and Mama Classes

Designed by our women’s health physiotherapists to help you regain core strength, flexibility and stability following pregnancy and childbirth while providing an opportunity to find the time to exercise with your baby.

Matwork Pilates Classes

Get back to basics with this floor regime, programmed on a weekly basis as a generalised strengthening and toning exercise class. Mat Pilates utilises traditional Pilates exercises, which form the foundation of many reformer, trapeze and Wunda chair exercises traditionally used in equipment Pilates.

Clinical Physiotherapy Group Classes

These sessions aim to improve patients posture, core stability, strength, flexibility, balance and breathing with a specific focus on motor control issues that may be contributing to pain or reduced function.

Michelle Castelani

Michelle likes to think of herself as a body movement therapist. Having travelled from her homeland Brazil as a Biological Sciences graduate, she eventually found the field of Personal Training to complement her interest in human anatomy, movement and injury prevention.
In order to enrich her skills, Michelle then started her training in Pilates in 2014 and was amazed to find a whole new world of flow, precision and movement awareness. Her focus is on encouraging one’s ability to be in control of their own body, respecting their own limits, therefore moving with ease and without pain through regular practice.
When not teaching or practising Pilates herself, Michelle loves to do any of the beautiful walks Cairns has to offer.

Lauren Sambell

Growing up with a keen interest in health and fitness and all things sports related, Lauren pursued a career in physiotherapy. Since then, she has also discovered a passion for Pilates and has become a qualified Matwork instructor.
Lauren incorporates both of these disciplines in her rehabilitation classes to develop strength, correct technique and get great outcomes for clients.

Stephanie Kassos

Stephanie graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2007 and has been working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist within Allsports Physiotherapy since then. Stephanie has been working at the Camp Hill clinic and balances her Physiotherapy clinical load with the instruction of Pilates.

Stephanie has a special interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of pelvic and SIJ dysfunction but also has a particular interest in ballet and dance-related injuries. She loves being able to see her patients transition from an acute phase to a strengthening and preventative management phase through the use of physiotherapist-led exercise.
